Privacy policy

Short version: this site collects what you type into the contact form — nothing else. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising cookies. The long version is below, written in plain language and compliant with the EU GDPR.

1. Who is the data controller

The data controller is Fabrizio Sgroi, independent freelance fullstack & AI developer.

No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed, as appointment is not mandatory under Art. 37 GDPR for this activity. All privacy-related requests are handled directly by the data controller.

2. What data is collected

When you submit the contact form on this website, the following personal data is collected:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Content of the message you send

Just browsing the site collects nothing. There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, no third-party advertising cookies. The site relies only on strictly technical cookies necessary for its basic operation, which under EU law do not require consent.

3. Why your data is processed

Your data is used solely to:

  • reply to your message;
  • discuss potential collaboration on a project;
  • keep a record of business correspondence.

Your data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the “I have read and accept the privacy policy” checkbox before submitting the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hello@fsgr.dev.

5. How long data is kept

Submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any related business relationship, and in any case no longer than 24 months from our last contact — unless a longer retention is required by law (for example, tax or accounting obligations once a contract is signed).

6. Recipients and sub-processors

To deliver the service, your data passes through a small number of trusted third parties acting as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — hosts and delivers this website at the edge, and routes form submissions through a serverless worker.
  • Resend, Inc. (USA) — transactional email provider used to deliver the contact-form message to my inbox.
  • Google LLC (USA) — the destination mailbox where the email is finally received (via Cloudflare Email Routing into Gmail).

7. International data transfers

Some of the providers listed above are based in the United States. Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR), providing an adequate level of protection equivalent to the EU.

8. How data is protected

Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS, processed by reputable providers with industry-standard security measures, and is never stored on this website itself — the site is fully static and has no database. The contact form uses a hidden spam-protection field and server-side validation to reduce abuse.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your data (Art. 15);
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
  • request erasure / “right to be forgotten” (Art. 17);
  • restrict processing (Art. 18);
  • data portability (Art. 20);
  • object to processing (Art. 21);
  • withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3));
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority — the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

10. Cookies

This site does not use cookies for analytics, profiling or advertising. The only cookies that may be set are strictly technical cookies required for basic functionality, which under Italian and EU law do not require consent.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the services I use or in applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Substantial changes will be notified through a notice on this page.
